Ethiopian people are vigilant for their peace

Telling our people about the values of peace is like telling the Pope about Catholicism. In fact, trying to tell our country’s nation, nationalities and people about its value is nothing but a redundant effort.

This is because; we cannot tell the value of peace to the Ethiopian people, who went through oppression and civil war under the two previous feudal and dictatorial regimes. No Ethiopian want to be explained the fact that there is nothing to be had without any peace. So, they don’t stomach any anti-peace forces that want to disturb their peace.

I raised this issue in relation to the apprehension of the 88 men of the Dr. Berhanu led terrorist group Ginbot 7 that tried to infiltrate into Western zone of Tigray using the unrest and disturbance that was ignited in our country as an opportunity (73, while 15 died) as a result to the integrated work of the local people and militias and also the fact that the remnants of the 113 anti-peace forces the terror group fronted are being chased by the local people and by zone’s militias.

Even though the anti-peace forces tried to enter into the zone in two rounds through their leaders Major Mesfin Tigabu and Destaw Tegegn, they couldn’t escape from the eyes of the peace-loving local people and from the hands of the militias. The fate of a force that don't stand committedly or believe on the objectives cannot be different from this.

Of course the anti-peace forces don’t have any kind of similarity in their programs with the group by the name of Ginbot 7, which is a lackey group for Ato Isaias Afwerki and other anti-Ethiopia forces. Most of the apprehended individuals are people that were hijacked and taken to Eritrea and Shabiya training camps when they were trying to go to Sudan to search for jobs.

So, it is not surprising to see these forces that entered the terror group in this way give up their hand easily to the Tigray region, western zone militia. Any force that is committed cannot possibly surrender easily while carrying 73 kilashinkovs, heavy artillery and other equipment for fighting, or get killed. More than anything, the locals and the militias that apprehended these people before they did any damage should be thanked – as they have shown that they are the gatekeepers of their own peace.

The FDRE army whose main mission is to protect the constitution and the constitutional order from foreign and domestic enemies illustrated its ever resolute capability by taking a punitive measure that showed the plans of any anti-Ethiopia force will be obliterated by the the integrative work it undertakes with the people.

Of course the objective of the Eritrea government which uses the terrorist groups Ginbot 7 is clear. Shabiya is a major anti-Ethiopia unit that tried its might to disturb Ethiopia. It has worked more than its might one can even say – and is still working and will continue to do so. Although its sinister plots hasn’t been successful, the regime is still planning all the worse for the Ethiopian people.

At a time when the Shabiya leader Ato Isaias Afwerki is isolated from the world and lost all his hope by his economy, he is actively engaged with the terrorist Dr. Berhanu Nega. They have planned a futile arrangement together to weaken Ethiopia. So, he continues to act the commander in chief of Ethiopian terrorists and flaunts his anti-Ethiopianism.

In contrast, questions of development, peace and democracy have simmered to a high point in the country he leads. The fact that his government can be toppled by soldiers anytime was seen by his army who planned to control the Asmara Information ministry moving from Barentu front. However, instead of saving his ailing government or answer the demands of the Eritrea people, he still thinks about disintegrating Ethiopia.

Indeed! Still his agenda is to see Ethiopia disintegrated and relegated to the past tense – an unattainable wish. So, when his wish turns into a nightmare, he gets angry and annoyed. Our development and growth sickens him.

When internal political and domestic demands gains momentum in his country, his anti-Ethiopian stance gets heated and move to recruit people that don’t have any commitment to the cause through his coordinator Colonel Fitsum Yisak aka ‘Lenin’ and by organizing terrorists like Dr. Berhanu Nega.

It donesn’t matter if the plan doesn’t succeed, as he will continue to try this – driven by his dream of watching Ethiopia in rubble. But, our people who understand the value of peace wouldn’t allow his dream to materialize – as they have shown it against anti-peace forces time and again. The identity and position of the lackey Ginbot 7 is clear. It is to seize power on the shoulder/back of Ato Isaias and then after that rent that power to anti-Ethiopia powers that are standing behind Ato Isaias.

But, power is assumed through a democratic election, and not through a regime that is having difficulty to stand on its own or by serving as Banda to some enemies of our country that don’t want our development or growth – considering the people of Ethiopia as the holder of sovereign power have been electing the party they deemed worthy in the past five successive general elections while marginalizing anti-government and terror groups like Ginbot 7 and OLF.

It has been eight years since the fair and wise people of our country marginalized the man and his minions. So, since they are marginalized by our people, it would be easier for the lackey Banda doctor and his group to wish for Hosni Mubarak to get back to power than it is to seize power without the consent of the Ethiopian people.

The terror group Ginbot 7 is a set of traitors that tries to seize power with the help of some anti-Ethiopia forces while sitting in America. And weighing the group in its politico-economic stance, the group has no structural or human capability, and it is set of rent-seekers, terrorists that don’t have anything to do with the vision that is written on their paper and lackeys of Ethiopian enemies. The failure of their effort including their recent one shows this incapability.

And in my belief, outside of the half-baked effort the terror group makes to make the anti-Ethiopian forces happy, their activity cannot be seen anything outside of being an act to collect money from the pockets of the Diaspora community.

Shabiya and Ginbot 7 and the anti-Ethiopia forces that work to hinder our country’s development should know that as long as the peace loving people of our country are there, their sinister plot will always be foiled. The people of the new Ethiopia will foil the plot of anti-peace forces like the recent effort of the terror group Ginbot 7.

As they know the value of peace, they will continue to respond to the anti-peace forces and their lackeys. And the recent response of the locals and militias in western Tigray one is an illustration to this.
